Hi Team,
Can anybody please provide any information on the lifecycle of a report desgined in Pentaho Report Designer.
Like, if i have a report with multiple queries and multiple sub reports each sub report calling a query as required and one sub report has another sub report also.
Hence when we execute the report, actually what happens ?
Like wanted to know whether :
1. Pentaho first executes all the queries as a single connection to the database and then populates the data to the respective report/sub report?
or
2. Whether each query is hit to database when that particular report/sub report is called inside.?
If the pt. 2 is the process, then i think it will hit the database many number of times, whcih may impact the performance of the report.
Request to please let me know for any information on the same so that we can get a better idea on performance.
