I have designed a report in Report Designer with 20 columns. This obviously forced me to increase the page width considerably(around 2500). The users can select which columns they want to hide/show via a Multi Value parameter. I have already set the "invisible-consumes-space" property to false, so the hidden columns don't occupy any space. So far so good.
The problem I'm facing is that when I have some hidden columns, they are all arranged to the left and I get a lot of empty space on the right side of my very wide page. I would like the page width to adjust to fit only the shown columns. My columns have a fixed width, so the computation of the page width should be an easy operation. However, I haven't been able to find an easy solution for this.
I've been struggling with this all day and the only solution I got involves using a dummy column and some custom javascript code added to the html body(never used JS before so yeah, it was panful). I'm obviously not satisified at all with this and I imagine there should be some easy way to do it within the Report Designer.
Any help with this would be highly appreciated guys,
