I am using a dataset with approx 700,000 rows X 8 columns and have created 2 measures in an Analysis Report. Each drag and drop to create reports (even a simple pivot structure) is taking a very long time in execution. A lot of time I get an error - "Too much of number crunching....". I am using Pentaho BI trial version on a linux server with 10 GB RAM dedicated (out of 16) to Pentaho and approx. 100 GB total server space.
I believe Pentaho as a tool should be able to handle very large datasets but here I am actually disappointed to see it not even being able to execute simpme pivot queries.
