I am very new to Pentaho and have been tasked to develop quite complex XML structures to support a data migration. I have been trying to get the example called "Generating Complex XML Structures" in the Pentaho Data Integration 4 Cookbook to work. The first two steps work fine, i.e., creating the xml root structure and merging the authors into the root structure. But when I add in the merge authors and books step it fails. I have played around with a few things with it but all to no avail. Has anyone tried this example in the book and gotten it to work? Was there some tweaking that had to be done that I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
