I'm attempting to achieve some tuning of the queries the Mondrian engine generates against our data warehouse by specifying approxRowCount values for the dimension attributes. I've not found any docs that discuss this in much detail, so:
First question: if you know where I might look for info about how this affects query generation, please let me know.
2nd question: is the appropriate value to use for approxRowCount for something like a person's gender, the number of distinct values this attribute has in a dimension (a very small number), or the number of rows in the underlying table (a very large number)?
