The fact that webdetails joined pentaho doesn't mean we'll stop doing work on the Ctools. Much on the contrary, not only we're doing more work than before, we're also in a better position to do that work in a more aligned way to the main Pentaho roadmap.
As many of you know, Pentaho 5.0 is almost out, and comes with a different look and feel. And to start building some coherency, we changed CDE's look and feel.
This is just a start; In the backend, lots of stuff is happening / being planned to try to improve the ctools feature-wise. But it's an amazing step!
It's already available in the dev branch, and will make it's way into stable. Please report any issues you find.
