Questions using NewMapComponent and Google Map Overlay Component in CDE

Good day,

I am just new to Pentaho CDE and I have tried creating sample dashboard using Pentaho CE 6.1. I am trying these components, NewMapComponent and Google Map Overlay Component but I always fail to display the maps. Here are my questions:

a. In using NewMapComponent, what details in the Advance Properties would I complete so that my map would show? As of testing my dashboard, only the zoom buttons on the upper right corner are displayed and not the map. I already inputted the latitude and longitude plus added an API key and the html object name. Do I need more details to complete?

b. In using the Google Map Overlay Component, how can I make a .js file maps so that I could call it in the properties? Also, where in the advance properties would I put the API key?

Also, where could I find a step-by-step tutorial in using the other components in CDE that I could use as my guide? I am still waiting for the book, Learning Pentaho CTools by Miguel Gaspar to be available in our country and I cannot find a tutorial for these components online.
