Excel Writer: Transform "Number Stored as String"

Hi,

I'm using PDI Version 6.1.0.1-196 to export data using the Excel Writer Step.
My problem is that all numbers are written as text into the Excel file fields. When I open the output file all cells containing numbers show the Excel-Warning "Number Stored as Text". The format of the cells is shown as "Standard". The format of the numbers is fine, only Excel treats them as text. And unfortunately this leads to the problem that the person receiving this sheet cannot load it properly into Access because the numbers are read as text instead of actual numbers.

My question is if there is any way using PDI to create the Excel output file in such a way that the numbers are actually treated as numbers instead of text.
I already tried different Field Types in the Content-Tab f the Excel Writer Step but that did not help, as well as using a Template.
Is there any way to do this like e.g. a setting in the PDI step or some kind of script-step to run on the export file afterwards?
