I want to install CE of PDI on AWS.(Amazon) Which Linux version should i use.

Is ths AWS linux version support for the 7.x version ?
Which version should I use, Ubuntu, Redhat,

Is there someone with some experience using the 7.x version or older in AWS running on Linux. Currently we're using the the windows version. But i think i want to make the switch to linux.
