Use a parameterized cde dashboard through Drill down and stand alone both ways

Hi,
I am a newbie to pentaho cde dashboard. I have gone through lot of examples of drill down dashboard. But my requirement is different and i am not able to figure out how to go about it.

There is a detail dashboard and there is home dashboard. Both can be used independently and both have their own set of parameters.
There is table component in Home dashboard, clicking on one of its rows should pick that value and drill down to detail dashboard. Also, it should load detail dashboard with this parameter coming in from Home dashboard. Further, user should be able to change selection after reaching this page, so it should continue to support stand alone execution too.
Detail dashboard has some charts,widgets etc. There are couple of simple parameters defined here that changes triggers these components.

I was able to -
Create hyperlink on table rows of table on Home dashboard.
Clicking on one row, takes that id and gets passed to the drill down URL too.
Detail dashboard opens up in a new tab with rowid value in query parameter.

Problem -
Lets say there is one text field in detail dashboard. During drill down, i want to use value of queryparameter and in normal execution, it should get its value from selection parameter. I did try some conditions but that does not seem to help.
Same applies for charts, widgets below it.
