Metedata Injection Step Configuration Doesn't Show "Target Injection Step, key" Info

I am new to PDI and have been working on understanding ETL Metadata Injection with Denormalization. I'm using version 4.4.2 Kettle - Spoon currently and believe there may be a problem with the ETL Metadata Injection configuration. After specifying a transformation template I cannot see the configuration info all documentation and examples point to for mapping the input information to the configuration settings in the template. See screenshot at bottom under "Template".
