However, the members could never find a solution to the issue, and since my system environment, pentaho version, as well as conditions are different to theirs, instead of hijacking that thread, I will attempt to start a new one.
Windows 7 64bit, Pentaho biserver 5.0
Fresh out of the box, without changing a thing, I start the biserver and login (Admin and Suzy both produce the issue.)
Filestoolbar begin, Filestoolbar end, and an error message appears saying "We really did try, something went wrong. Please try again." (error message also shows some HTML/css code, by the way.)
I hit ok, and a login panel appears. I enter, say, Admin/passwor (or any other credentials I see in repository.spring.properties, too.)
Two errors appear: "Authentication failed" and "Could not get user settings."
Pentaho.log is empty.
Catalina and localhost out also don't contain anything relevant.
I must say, this is my test localhost, and therefore just before 5.0 came out I was configuring 4.8 on this same computer, although I would assume that has very little to do with the production of this problem.
I was also moving back and forth between 4.8 and 5.0 on a test-server (Windows2008R2) and didn't have this problem, so I know it's not the biserver package, but something in my environment combined with Pentaho 5.0.
I was wondering if anyone else have experienced the same issue, and if so, what causes it?
