cde cache

i'm trying to develop a custom component for cde .
Every time I change the component definition (component.xml) I make the refresh of the cache repository ( from PUC menu Tools -> Refresh -> Repository Cache) .
However, I still see the previous definition .
To get the new definition I need to restart Pentaho .
I think the problem is due to the fact that the ECACHE cache is not discharged .
how can I get this without restarting Pentaho?
