Hi, I'm trying to build functional blocks that can be reused as this is a fundamental thing in complex systems, to do so I'd like to "call" transformations from other transformations, passing them some parameters, just like functions in programming.
In jobs, that is no problem, but to call a transformation from another transformation, I need a mapping. From what I have understood, regardless of which parameters the called transformation exhibits in its definition, I need an "input" step in which I have to redefine these inputs.
Now the problem is: in the mapping window, in the bottom there are 3 tabs: "Parameters", "Input", "Output"
the first minor annoyance is that the tooltip for "input" and "output" is the same, the second is that in the "input" step, the "mapping" button opens a window, in which I can link source fields with target fields: what happens here is that after I have defined the mappings, clicked "OK", then "OK" again, save the transformation, and reopen the window, all my mappings are gone.
