Number Formatting

Hello world... of Pentaho.

I am attempting to modify a financial statement created in PRD. The end user would like to see the first line of numbers formatted the following way $#,##0.00;($#,##0.00), with the remaining lines formatted without the $. How might I write an attribute expression to achieve this result?
