PDI not able to connect to HDFS

Hi,

I'm new to Pentaho and hadoop. tried searching this issue but didn't find any thing.
I have installed PDI 5.0.2 on linux VM. Have also setup hadoop distribution hadoop-0.20.205.0 on same machine using same user. Documentation says hadoop 0.20X is compatible with PDI. I also made sure that active.hadoop.configuration=hadoop-20 in plugin.properties under '/home/pentaho/pentaho/design-tools/data-integration/plugins/pentaho-big-data-plugin'

All hadoop deamons are running and I can run word count program on this hadoop distrbution. But when I try to connect to HDFS from PDI, I get 'Unable to connect to HDFS server.' error.

Please help me connect to this HDFS. Not sure if something more is needed to locate this hadoop distribution.
