Oracle 11g PLSQL to PDI

Hello -

We are in the process of trying to prototype the migration of our (sometimes complex) data management process from PL/SQL to Pentaho. Are there any available online resources that explain how to deconstruct a PLSQL block(s) into separate PDI steps/transformations?

Are there best practices that anyone who has done this before can share? Ultimately, I'm looking to make our PL/SQL processes more modular, readable and manageable by breaking it down into separate components/transformations (especially for someone who may not know PL/SQL code).
