End user with pentaho etl tool and reports in pentaho user console

Hi friends,

1. Can i know is it possible running reports and kettle etl task in BI Server(User Console) without prompting the user to creating a jdbc connection with databases ?

2. Does there is any way a developer can develop all reports and database connection using any xml method and configuration method, so the user just upload all database connection details, report details and only can run the report without doing developing and creating database connection task ?
